How to read the result

The range is a market band, not a quote. A fair vendor quote for the scope you selected should land inside it; a quote far below usually means scope was misread or quality will pay the difference, and a quote far above deserves a written explanation of what's driving it.

The most useful way to use the number: as a negotiating anchor and a sanity check. If you selected an MVP and the quotes you're getting are triple the top of the range, someone is scoping the full vision, not the MVP. Five constants in this calculator are modeling choices rather than published figures. Here they are, so you know exactly how much weight the estimate can bear.

    MVP and full-scale ranges come from published teardowns; the competitive tier sits between them. Real mid-tier builds vary with which advanced features they take on first.

  2. Platform multipliers beyond native are estimates
